A fan-made custom Xbox Series X pays tribute to the Resident Evil series by emblazoning biohazard warnings and the dreaded Nemesis onto the new-generation console. The survival horror series kicked off back in 1996, and over nearly 30 years the franchise has inspired countless terrific and terrifying fan creations. Last year one fan unveiled a custom Resident Evil PC, complete with Umbrella logos and T-virus vials, and now another fan has transformed their Xbox Series X into a powerful bioweapon.

While Microsoft's latest console typically comes in stark black and lacks an abundance of detailing, many Xbox Series X owners have taken it upon themselves to customize the new-generation console. Some paint or exterior sculpting can go a long way towards sprucing up the system, but particularly crafty fans have been known to go even further by adding dramatic and artistic customizations. While bulky additions to the Xbox Series X exterior can cause overheating issues, modifications can be entirely safe when applied correctly. For example, one fan's custom Master Chief Xbox Series X is airbrushed and layered with tinted ink and is completely harmless to the console itself.

A custom Xbox Series X, created by Instagram user m_wilky_90 and his friend Phil Brown, pays tribute to the Resident Evil franchise and its iconic monster Nemesis. The front side of the custom console features Nemesis, which relentlessly purses the player throughout Resident Evil 3, in all its disgusting glory. The left face of the console features a biohazard sign, meanwhile, while the other side includes a "Welcome to Raccoon City" sign. The console's talented creator told Screen Rant that the customizations took about two weeks to make, and the epoxy resin appliance does not cause overheating. A custom Xbox controller, which bears the Umbrella logo and color scheme, completes the impressive project.
