This guide shows you all of the Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary and Iconic Weapons and Cyberware locations, including stats and perks of each item!
This Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary gear locations guide will help you find the exact places where you can get the Legendary and Iconic Weapons, Cyberware, Armor and Clothing available from the many weapons vendors, Ripperdocs and as loot! Some of the Legendary and Iconic weapons drop as random loot from bosses or as rewards from missions.
If you are a new player, I suggest you take a look first at my guide on how gear works in Cyberpunk 2077 before using this Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary Gear Locations guide. It will give you a great head-start and understanding of the different types of gear, specifically weapons and cyberware, their quality tiers, how they benefit you and increase your combat performance and more!
Please note that some of the items may not appear as Legendary when you visit the locations. I have made a note about these locations below in the guide. I added a few of these to the guide and decided not to do it for all possible RNG-related items. It would defeat the purpose of this guide to have all the RNG spawn locations and items. A lot of players have added these in the comments section below. You can dig deeper there if you want.
It is quite common that you would find metal boxes, containers and drawers with random loot while doing Gigs and side jobs. If you encounter an Epic item in one of these, there is a chance that if you relog, it will spawn Legendary.
The general rule is that if an item is looted off a body of a person you did not defeat yourself, it is a guaranteed Legendary. If the loot comes from a metal box/container or an enemy you defeated somewhere, the loot is likely RNG-based. Also the number of sockets may vary. Last, but not least – the stats of the weapons you see in the images below will be vastly different based on your current level at which you discover the weapon or crafting specs..
All items that belong to a thematic outfit, better known as “Armor Set” in traditional RPGs, are marked with “[Set]” at the end of the title of the item. There are number of Legendary Armor Sets in Cyberpunk 2077. You can find all items here as well as in the stand-alone guides for each one plus additional info about the specific set and visual previews.
If you find a non-RNG Legendary item which location is not listed in this guide, please give me the location. You can leave a comment or email me at info@vulkk.com. Thanks to those of you who have already contributed
This is a list of confirmed locations of Legendary Guns and Melee Weapons available from the vendors and stores in Night City. Please note that every time you visit a store or vendor, the prices of the items they offer will be different. That’s because they are matched to your current level.
Some times the same items are available from more than one vendor. Their prices are identical and there may be a slight difference in the rolled stats.
If you purchase a weapon from a vendor, the same weapon will be available again next time you visit the vendor, but it will have different stats and price tag, based on your then-current level.

Located in north-west Downtown, City Center. On a body of a woman. Part of the Legendary Rocker Armor Set. Credit to Chaos_Erebus for the discovery!
You need Level 12 Body Attribute to open the gate that blocks your access to this area. You can reach the area through a hole in the fence, though.
This legendary clothing item can be looted from a body in a shaft under the ground behind an abandoned gas station in the Badlands. Thanks to Satelite for the location tip!
These legendary boots are found on a body inside a shaft in Charter Hill, Westbrook. Part of the Legendary Netrunner Set in Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks to Asian Spectre for sending this location!
Drop down the shaft and loot it off of a dead body. There’s another body dressed in purple and pink right at the top of the shaft, where the entrance is. It’s just near the sidewalk.
Looted from a dead man’s body in a blue crashed van (he is the driver) in Japandown, Westbrook. The van is on a ramp leading to an underground garage, just next to the Crescent & Broad Fast Travel point. Part of the Legendary Fixer Armor Set in Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks for this one to General Daedric.
Iconic Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 are a unique and special version of a gun or melee weapon that has the stats of the same item with that name, but has a custom added unique perk that is not available on any other weapon in the game.
The Iconic weapons can be of any quality, not just Legendary. Once you obtain an Iconic weapon, you learn the Crafting Schematic for it automatically and you can also upgrade the existing one if and when you decide.
Iconig Weapons are usually and most often found in the areas where you do Main Missions content. They are not hidden too deep, but are easy to miss. Your best chance is to often Scan the areas around you as you explore Night City and while you do the main missions.
The iconic Cocktail Stick katana is in the make-up room of the Clouds, which is in Megabuilding H8 in Japantown, Westbrook. I had this one for ages, but forgot to include it. Thanks to Theakex for the reminder!
You go there during the “Automatic Love” main story mission early on in the game.
The Satori katana is only available during the main mission “The Heist”. Go up the stairs to the roof, where Saburo came in from. Kill the guards, you can then take the katana sitting on the chair in the vehicle. This information is thanks to Magellan.
The Iconic Jinchu-maru Katana is a guaranteed loot drop from Sandayu Oda boss fight, part of the main story mission “Play it Safe”.
Check you the guide on how to defeat Sandayu Oda in Cyberpunk 2077 if you are experiencing any troubles defeating this Arasaka cyberninja bodyguard.
This melee weapon is stuck in a cement-filled pool in Denny’s mansion. I found it during a side job called “Second Conflict”.
It’s a follow-up from the side job Holdin’ On in which you and Johnny attempt to get Samurai back for one more concert. The mansion is in North Oak, Westbrook. If you go there without having this side job active and you find the bat, please let me know. There’s a store about this cement in the pool, by the way.
The Iconic katana called Scalpel is a reward for a side job called “Big in Japan”. The mission starts from the Afterlife club. Thanks to Theakex for this one!
The Afterlife club is located in Little China, Watson – here on the map:
The slums you need to search for the container are in Kabuki, Watson. The container you need to open for the mission is here (showing the minimap for better orientation of the exact location when you arrive in the area.
This melee weapon is available for picking up right after you finish the quest “Venus in Furs”. This is the sex scene with Meredith Stout and to unlock this side quest, you need to interact with her during the main mission in which you and Jackie raid the Maelstrom gang’s base All Foods.
I played always as Male V. Thanks to Alexander’s comment below this guide, who confirmed that female V can also get this item.
The location of the No-Tell Motel where Meredith calls you is in Kabuki, Watson. The room is on the ground floor and will remain open and available to access it later if you missed to pick up that melee weapon during the mission.
This iconic item is located in Fingers’ bedroom in his ripperdoc clinic.
The clinic is in Japantown in Westbrook.
This iconic club is available for loot during “The Hunt” mission, part of the River story chain. In Edgewood Farm. Thanks to rumiln and Hayden Rice for tip.
Head to the farm to free Randy. In the house on the farm upstairs there is a button under the desk that opens the secret side room with the weapon inside on the table.
The iconic Tsumetogi katana is available during the side job “Pisces”. Thanks to punkrr for the info of how to get this weapon!
It’s part of the side missions chain with Judy. The series of quests start off from the main story of the game and continues with “Both Sides, Now”, then “Ex-Factor”, followed by “Talkin’ ‘Bout A Revolution” which leads to “Pisces”.
There is some downtime between Judy’s calls to start the next mission after you finish one. Either sit in one spot and use the Skip Time function or do some other things and wait for Judy to call you with the next one.
To get the Katana you have to go up to the roof of the building and then into Hiromi’s penthouse – all of this is part of the mission’s objective. Inside the room, you will see the katana on the table in front of the three Claws members, who are in a Braindance session. After you finish the dialogue with Maiko, you will be able to get the weapon.
Note that all of these missions described here are part of the Judy Romance, but she will romance you only if you play female V, because she is lesbian.
This weapon is a reward for completing “I’ll Fly Away” side job with Mitch fro mthe Aldecaldos in the Badlands. Found on YouTube, via x LunarGaming
This headshot-inspiring Power Pistol is available from Wilson, who runs the 2nd Amendment weapons store in the same megabuilding where V’s apartment is, on the lower floor. You can go there as soon as V first steps in their apartment in the very beginning of the game.
Kongou is an Iconic Power Pistol which you can get during the mission “The Heist”.
Two of these iconic pistols are left on the memorial table for Jackie Welles in the El Coyote Cojo Bar.
The El Coyote Cogjo bar is located on the east side of The Glen in Heywood. The guns will be there even after the mission that sends you to this location, but not before Jackie’s death.
Out in the Badlands in a dumb, at the end of the road shown on the map below you will find Dexter DeShawn’s body after he gets killed early on in the main story of the game. On his corpse you will find his iconic Power Pistol called Plan B.
This iconic pistol is involved in the final story mission of the game if you choose the ending involving Rogue and Johnny (you have to complete their side jobs to unlock that ending). There is no way to miss the pistol when the moment comes, but for major story spoilers’ sake, I will not reveal when and where exactly you get it.
The Archangel is Kerry’s iconic revolver, the one he almost shoot Johnny with. Little background. Kerry is one of the members of Johnny Silverhand’s band Samurai. You get this gun as a gift at the end of the mission called “A Like Supreme”. It’s a chain of side jobs that starts with “Holdin’ On”.
This iconic gun is available as loot from the corpse of Dum Dum during the mission “Second Conflict”.
The gun is only available in a scenario where you previously sided with the Maelstrom gang and kept Dum Dum alive during “The Pickup” early main story mission. If you killed Royce and Dum Dum, you will get a different outcome for the “Second Conflict” side job. This one is an extension following up the “Chippin’ In” side job in which you get Johnny Silverhand’s Jacket, Tank Top, Gun, Glasses and Car.
One of the best handguns in the game (incredible headshot results with this) is a reward for you for completing the River side jobs chain.
The first side job that introduces you to River is “I fought with the law”, which tasks you to meet with Elizabeth Peralez. This side job opens up after you complete the main story mission “Life During Wartime” and happens automatically some time after that. You cannot trigger it manually, unless you spam the Skip Time button eventually.
The chain of side jobs with Rovers include also “The Hunt” and “Following the River”. At the end of the last one River will give you his gun as a gift.
You do not need to romance him and he cannot be romanced by male V, just FYI. However, I am not sure if any choices leading up to that final mission and his gift to you matter. For reference: I supported his decisions and agreed with him.
You can pick up the Iconic Chaos Tech Pistol by defeating Royce while you are doing the main mission “The Pickup”. You have to choose to kill Royce to loot the pistol from him.
To get this iconic gun you need to chose against Maelstrom during the mission. This will prevent you from obtaining Boom Boom, but it’s a choice you have to make. Killing Rose opens up the sex scene with Meredith, which will come as a side mission a little after you complete “The Pickup”. From it male V will be able to get Sir John Phallustiff (One-Handed Club).
Lizzie is a tech pistol you can find on top of a table in the back room of Lizzie’s Bar on your way to Judy’s Braindance studio.
Lizzie’s Bar is n Kabuki in Watson.
This weapon is available only if you play on the Corpo Lifepath. It can be looted from a body of a character you deal with during the side job “Warpigs”. Thanks to imagrumpyyoungkid for the info. and to rumilm for the image
This crafting spec is a loot from leader of organized crime report event in Arroyo, Santo Domingo.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
This iconic revolver is a gift for you from Cassidy for playing his game “Shoot bottles off a wall” (not the official name of the game).
You can interact with Cassidy and make him bet his revolver during the final sequence of the story missions after the “Point of No Return” warning. To get it you have to choose Panam and use the Nomads’ help for the final mission.
This has to be the funniest conversation I’ve had in Cyberpunk 2077 so far. Skippy is an Iconic Smart Pistol with an integrated AI. It has two modes and asks you which one you want to choose when you pick it up. The Pistol is in a dirty back-alley in Vista Del Rey in Heywood.. It’s next to a corpse between two dumpsters. Special thanks to LegitimateTater for sending me the location of this item!
This iconic weapon is found in a box inside a metal container in the Arasaka Industrial Park. Bitg thanks to Chaos_Erebus for the location tip!
You visit this area as part of the main storyline, but you can go get the gun at any point. Note that it’s a hostile area.
The Arasaka Industrial Park is in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. There is a Fast Travel terminal on the south-eastern side of the complex.
As you enter through the main gate, run to the end of the private street in the complex and when you reach the end, look to your right for an open container and enter inside.
Disable the mine on the floor and get your item from the opened box at the bottom of the container on the left.
The Iconic Overwatch Sniper Rifle is a reward for you from Panam for helping her free Soul. The mission is called “Riders on the Storm” and it’s a side job that you get as a follow-up after the main mission involving Panam.
This weapon is available as loot after you beat Buck for the mission “Beat on the Brat: Arroyo”. Thanks to Joshua Ong for the info.
To get Buck to include this weapon in the bet for this fight, you need to have Body Attribute 9 or higher for the optional dialogue option to be available.
This crafting spec is a loot from leader of organized crime report event. Drops in Santo Domingo.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
The Legendary Iconic Malorian Arms 3516 Power Pistol is a custome made model for Johnny Silverhand himself. Yeah, that’s his pistol indeed! You can get it from Grayson, who is part of the side job “Chippin’ In”. The mission starts from Rogue and is a follow up from previous missions you have done with her. Do Rogue’s storyline to get to this mission. It’s very worth your time. Not only you get Johnny’s pistol, but Rogue also gives you a replica of Johnny’s jacket (the Samurai one from the trailers and pre-release marketing of the game) and you also get Johnny Silverhand’s Porsche 911 car!
Check out the guide and walkthrugh of the mission to find out how to get Johnny Silverhand’s Car, Jacket and Gun in Cyberpunk 2077
This iconic smart pistol is available for pick up during the main story mission “Last Caress”. There is one more location for it, please read below.
It is sitting on a desk on the ground floor in Yorinobo Arasaka’s home in North Oak, Westbrook.
Another location for the iconic weapon is during the mission “Play it Safe”. After killing the first sniper use the elevator to go to floor 21, head right out of the elevator through the door before the ladder. inside is a locked armory accessible with the code ‘2906’ or by opening with technical ability. Thanks to Hayden Rice for sending this location tip.
The Mox power shotgun iconic gun becomes available after you complete all of the side jobs with Judy. It doesn’t matter if you are male or female. She will not romance a male V, but the item will still be available for you to pick up.
After the mission “Pyramid Song” ends, Judy will be gone and she will start sending you messages. This takes some in-game time, but eventually she will mention that she left you the Mox gun in her apartment, to which you gain access during that final mission with her.
You first meet Judy as part of the main story line. Her side jobs story starts with “Both Sides, Now”. From there just play through them as they appear. Judy will not call you immediately after a completed mission to take on the next one.
Judy’s apartment is Kabuki Watson and the Charter St Fast Travel point is right next to it. You have been to that apartment before, but in case you can’t remember the location, here it is on the map:
The crafting spec for the iconic Ba Xing Chong shotgun is in a metal container in Adam Smasher’s room on board the Ebunike.
You can pick it up at any time during or after the side job “Chipin’ In”. The Ebunike ship is at the Ebunike Docks in Northside, Watson. The green merker on the map below is the exact location of Adam Smasher’s room.
Crafting spec drops from Crime report event. Robotics factory on the east side of Westbrook, during a crime activity mission. Information thanks to Nomadicull and Adrian Welles.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
Crafting spec drops from Crime report event in Japantown, Westbrook.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
This iconic weapon is available in Maiko’s office during the mission “Ex-Factor”, which is part of the chain of missions with Judy.
This was bugged for me and I do not have the weapon myself, but thanks to Gream Owly for the tip that this should be there when it’s fixed.
The iconic SMG Fenrir is in a warehouse in Northside, Watson. Special thanks to Theakex for helping me find this gun!
You can pick it up while doing the “Losing My Religion” side job. I believe you can just go pick it up without the mission, but why not do two things at once!
Talk to the monk, he will send oyu to save his brother.
The monk asks you to deal with the Malestrom gangers peacefully… well… I didn’t! Here is the location of the Power SMG Fenrir.
This rare iconic gun drops always from one of the Raffen Shiv guards at the entrance of their hideout (base) in the Badlands during the side job with Panam called “Riders on the Storm”. This guard should always be standing at the entrance, so look for him there. It doesn’t matter if you approach the mission stealthy or guns-blazing. Thanks to Grant for confirming the location of the item drop
This crafting spec drops in organized crime activity event. from Yelena Sidorova, again, in Northside in Watson, in the crime activity directly south of where Tom Ayer is found. Info thanks to Nomadicull, Chaos_Erebus and rumilm.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
This crafting spec drops in organized crime activity event. From Wellsprings in Heywood. Info thanks to Chaos_Erebus, rumilm and Nomadicull.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
The schematic for this iconic weapon drops as loot from Anton Kolev, the leader of the Organized Crime location in Pacifica’s West Wind Estate. Thanks to Adrian Welles for the note.
I have seen mixed results and reports regarding drops from enemies, but this item and its source was originally reported to me by user Adrian Welles and when I got the same loot, I thought I’d include it as well. Please tell me if the item doesn’t drop for you.
This iconic weapon can be picked up during the side job with Panal helping her have her revenge on Nash. The Mission is called “Ghost Town”.
Nash is inside the building shooting at you with the gun you are going to take from him and add to your collection soon!
The Divided We Stand smart assault rifle is a “reward” for completing the “Stadium Love” side job. You can alternatively just kill all NPCs members of the 6th Street gang on the roofs of the buildings around and the gun will become available for pickup. Note that this will fail the side job for you.
On the roofs of buildings in Rancho Coronado in Santo Domingo you will find a ton of 6th Street gang members dancing and celebrating. Speak to their leader and agree to participate in the shooting competion. After the mission (be prepared for a surprise) ends, you can pick up the weapon that’s sitting right next to the Captain on the table.
This crafting spec is a loot from leader of organized crime report event. Drops from Tom Ayer, a Maelstrom leader in the west side of Northside in Watson Info thanks to Magellan and Nomadicull.
For more info on these crafting specs, please check this section of the guide.
There are a number of Legendary and Iconic items that I drop during the Suspected Organized Crime Reports (the ones where an NCPD officer will call you and explain what’s happening before they ask for your help). There are a few things to note about them:
Here is a short list of names of Iconic weapons / craftable schematics that you get from these locations:
The Legendary Iconic Cyberdeck Zetatech Berserk MK.5 is available at Dr. Chrome Ripperdoc in Kabuki.
The Iconic and Legendary Militech Berserk MK.5 Operating Systems Cyberdeck implant is available for purchase at Kraviz’s Clinic in Charter Hill.
The Iconic Legendary Falcon cyberdeck implant is available for purchase at the Ripperrdoc in Wellsprings in south-west Heywood.
The Legendary and Iconic Cyberdeck Qiant “Warp Dancer” Sandevistan MK.5 is waiting for you to go purchase it from the Downtown Ripperdoc clinic in City Center District.
There are some iconic clothing and armor items you do not want to miss out in Cyberpunk 2077. Same as weapons, once you find or earn an Iconic Clothes and Armor, their crafting specs are added automatically and you can craft better versions of the same items. You can also upgrade them as well.
Johnny Silverhand’s sun glasses are a reward for you from the “Chippin’ In” side mission with Rogue. The mission is quite long and involves you doing several other things between first talking to Rogue and finally ending up in the Oil Fields near Johnny’s grave. Part of the Johnny Silverhand Iconic Set.
Check out the Chippin’ In Side Job Walkthrough for more information. There are many other cool items you get from this chain of missions that spawn within Chippin’ In.
This item is also given to you during the course of the Chippin’ In side job with Rogue and Johnny. It’s a replica of the original Samurai jacket, because the original doesn’t exist any more in this world. Rogue had it custom made. Part of the Johnny Silverhand Iconic Set.
Johnny Silverhand’s inner torso tank top is another iconic clothing item available from the Chippin’ In side job. Part of the Johnny Silverhand Iconic Set.
Johnny Silverhand’s Iconic pants are available as a free loot in the bedroom of Kerry’s apartment during the mission “Gig: Psychofan”. Part of the Johnny Silverhand Iconic Set.
The “Gig: Psychofan” is given to you by Sebastian Padre Ibara when you approach the marked on the mal below location in The Glen, in Heywood. The Gig is locked behind a Street Cred requirement, but I did it after I had mine maxed already, so not sure how high it is. If you don’t have the Gig mission available in this spot, just keep leveling your Street Cred.
So many people have reported that to me. I think over 10 by now. I would like to use that moment to thank EVERYONE, who has contributed to this guide, instead of digging up the ~10 or so names that specifically mentioned this item.
Johnny Silverhand’s iconic shoes are available in the same drawer you need to open for the item that is main objective of the mission “Gig: Family Heirlooms”. Part of the Johnny Silverhand Iconic Set.
The mission starts in Charter Hill, Westbrook. You will get a call from Rogue when you approach the location marked on the map below.
Collecting all of Johnny Silverhand’s items will grant you a special achievement in Cyberpunk 2077 “Breathtaking”. All of the items you need for this achievement are listed here in this guide.
